The vista from our camp spot at Bunda Cliffs on the Nullabor Plain

Thursday 5th April 2012...........

We found this very picturesque camp spot overlooking the Southern Ocean on part of The Great Australian Bight on the Bunda Cliffs. On dusk the evening sunset was beyond description. The beauty of the scenery and night sky makes you believe in a greater power and also makes you appreciate this wonderful land.

Dorothea McKellar's poetry describing Australia is an amazing poem and when travelling this vast continent one can really relate to her thoughts.

A verse from her poem:

"I love a sunburnt country a land of sweeping plains, of ragged mountains ranges, of droughts and flooding rain. I love her far horizons, I love her jewel seas her beauty and her terror the wide brown land for me".

What a fantastic description of our beautiful Australia.
