Cairns back to Atherton and PARONELLA PARK

Friday 2nd September 2011 we left Cairns and returned by bus to cousin Merv and Sue at Atherton. Saturday was a busy day washing clothes and restocking the mortorhome with food. Fathers Day Sunday 4th September we said goodbye to our wonderful hosts and for the first time since we left Newcastle on the 8th May 2011 started our journey south towards home.
Monday 5th September 2011 we left our overnight camp near Innisfail and travelled to Paronella Park. This park is a must see if ever you are in this region. Paronella Park is at Mena Creek Falls.....Spaniard Jose Paronella wanted to build a castle and chose this site because of the beauty of the falls. The castle was built in 1929 and open to the public in 1935.
To enjoy this park.......

The history of Paronella Park is extremely interesting so to do it justice google 'Paronella Park Mena Creek Falls Queensland' for the whole story.....
