Around 4.00pm Tuesday 28th June 2011 arrived back in Kununurra WA and spent a couple of days recouperating, washing red dust away, airing sleeping bags and visiting the grocery store to restock. Thursday 30th June 2011 phoned my friend Robyn for her 60th birthday. She and Gerry were enjoying a relaxing break in the Hunter Valley Wine Region. Left Kununurra and travelled to the East Baines Camp site for the night. Next day travelled into the Gregory National Park and stayed about 15klms from Timber Creek at the Big Horse Creek Campsite for a few days. Temperature around 30 degrees and quite humid during the day and cooling down to around 20 degrees during the night. Next night stayed at The Mathison Rest area then travelled onto Katherine where we stayed in the Riverview Caravan Park. Chris and I enjoyed a game of golf. First for Chris since his accident and we were delighted how well his back coped with the game. The Ghan was in town on its way to Darwin so we and many others went to take a look and a few photos.
