Departed Newcastle 2.30pm.Travelling through Maitland we visited our friend Kathy at her lovely new home in East Maitland then travelled as far as Jerrys Plains (Chris's home town as a young boy). The local pub was an interesting venue for a quick meal on a Sunday evening (someone hadn't stocked up on adequate provisions, however we were finally able to order a respectful and tasty meal).
Monday 9th May we travelled through the forgotten township of Cassillis and onto Coolah. Leaving Coolah we ventured onto rough country road through Binnaway and onto Coonabarabran. Photographing along the way 'The World's Largest Virtual Solar System Drive' A scaled model 38 million times smaller than outer space!
